I ran in to an issue with a slow shower drain over the weekend. After trying unsuccessfully to fix it on my own, I called Maffet on the referral of... my friend (thanks Kelli!). Aaron was friendly and helpful on the phone, he even managed to secure an appointment for me later that day. Chris showed up on time and was polite, friendly, and incredibly helpful. We discussed the problem, the problems with the problem, and what the options were. He fielded all of my questions on this job and we discussed another upcoming project. He got to work and managed to not only clear the clog, but also was able to fix a problem caused by another contractor.Chris was incredibly helpful, cleaned up the site when he was finished and, most importantly, didn’t talk down to me. Unfortunately that’s not always the case when meeting with someone for a repair issue. I wish more companies were like Maffet and more repair were fielded by people like Chris.read more

My husband contacted Maffet on two separate occasions, both were emergencies due to a slab leak and pipe leak in the kitchen ceiling. Each time... Maffet came out quickly & did a fantastic job. They are reasonably priced, informative, as well as professional. We cannot recommend them enough. The plumbing tech came out to assess my plumbing situation and fixed it on the spot for me. He did a great job! We found our basin under our heater and humidification system full of water and just about ready to do overflow. Apparently the piece that is... supposed to detect water and turn off the system isn’t working.We called on a Saturday night around 5 pm and within the hour Tom arrived. He solved the immediate issue right away and then looked over our system . He explained our options and we will be able to decide and schedule work now that the emergency is over. Called Maffet to help with some outdoor spigot problems. Janice was great and answered a bunch of questions I had and helped schedule time for an... estimate. Chris and Ken showed up and we talked through what was needed. I found the prices to be a slight bit higher than what I expected, though I must say that they were both friendly and they did really great work. They did the replacements I needed and were fast and efficient. I tried not to hover, but also wanted to watch and maybe learn a bit and they were gracious in accommodating. All told, they were done in about an hour and verified their fixes. They also helped answer some questions, as I recently moved in and wasn't sure the purpose of some of the fittings in the house. All told, you may be able to get better prices somewhere else, but I don't think you'll get the same service. I would absolutely call again to discuss future work, if/when that time comes.read more

The gentlemen from Maffet Plumbing installed a laundry tub, faucet, water lines and a new PVC drain line to ensure a hook up for a washer and dryer... in a Neighborhood Center in Camden. They also had to install a dryer vent through a cinder block wall. They worked all day in a rather small space and to my delight and surprise they even installed and connected the washer and dryer which had to be moved from a social hall to the new laundry room. They were polite, good natured and definitely went the extra mile and cleaned up after all of their work. I would highly recommend this company for any of your plumbing needs.read more

Called on a Sunday night, urgent but not an emergency...got a call back within 15 minutes. We had a slow leak in our basement where the main water line came into the house but was not sealed correctly. With the recent snow, ground water... made its way in. Maffet offered to come out same day (Sunday) but mentioned there was an upcharge which I appreciated their transparency. Instead, they offered to show up first thing Monday which they did and sealed the hole. In the future, they will be getting our business (if needed).read more

I knew Kim and Aaron before I needed plumbing service, so I was happy to hire a company that I actually knew the owners, however I would write this... review if I didn’t know them. Before Frank showed up (on time) I received phone calls from the office and the tech advising me when he would arrive. He came into the house with booties which made me glad that they didn’t want to track in dirt from the other jobs he had done before me. He explained what I needed, had the parts with him, made the repair and produced the invoice in under an hour. Proficient and efficient!!!
